Custom decks
From aging deck to finished outdoor space
The old backyard deck was removed and rebuilt as a raised outdoor living area tied directly to the home. The finished space adds updated railing, new stair access, stone-look skirting, and a custom compass-style inlay in the deck surface.

Project scope
What changed
Built the new raised deck structure along the rear of the home.
Added a finished railing system with dark balusters and a cleaner connection to the house.
Finished the exterior face with a stone-look base below the deck.
Set a custom compass-style inlay into the new deck boards.
Project challenge
What needed to change
The old deck was worn across the surface, the stairs, the railing, and the skirting, and the rebuild had to keep the walk from the sliding doors to the yard.
How S & B Construction and Remodeling handled it
What we did
We rebuilt it as a raised deck with new railings and stairs, a stone-look base, and a compass inlay in the surface.
