Basement finishing
Framing, insulation, drywall, ceilings, and trim to turn an open basement into a family room, an office, or guest space.

S & B Construction and Remodeling turns unfinished and half-finished basements into lower-level living space: framing, drywall, flooring on concrete, trim, and lighting, planned around moisture, ceiling height, and how the family will use the room.
A basement is usually the least expensive way to add a room, because the structure already exists, and the easiest room to get wrong because of water. S & B Construction and Remodeling starts with the slab and the walls: where water has come in, where it could, and what the ceiling height and the mechanicals allow. Then we frame, insulate, coordinate the electrical, hang and finish the drywall, and install flooring made for concrete. In July we put a hardwood floor over concrete in a Lanark basement.

Framing, insulation, drywall, ceilings, and trim to turn an open basement into a family room, an office, or guest space.

Floors that hold up on a slab: hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, or tile, with the underlayment the slab needs.

Recessed lighting, outlets where the furniture will go, and a ceiling that keeps access to the plumbing and shutoffs above it.

Walkout basements that open to a deck or patio, and stairs that make the lower level feel like part of the house.

Brian does the walkthrough and the estimate, plans the job, and is the person you call from the first day to the last.
When a job needs a township permit, we pull it and schedule the inspections. That goes into the plan before demolition, not after.
Homeowners can check S & B Construction and Remodeling's reviews and ratings on Google, the BBB, HomeAdvisor, and Yelp before they ever call.
Trim lines, tile transitions, railings, and cabinet fit get checked before we call a room done, and the final walkthrough is with you.
Materials, timing, and the other trades are booked before work starts, so you know what is happening in the house each week.
My experience with S&B Construction was excellent. Project was started on time as promised in the contract. Their work was completed with expert professionalism, and we highly recommend this contracting company.
We hired S&B to upgrade a hall bathroom. Bryan was prompt and thorough with communication, gave very clear pricing, arrived on time, and hit his timing perfect.
Our dream kitchen came out beautifully with nice details. Brian was easy to communicate with and not afraid to put effort into helping us achieve our vision.
Brian and his team completed a beautiful indoor/outdoor project of our walkout basement, second story deck, and covered outdoor living room/patio.
From the very first consultation to the final walkthrough, Brian and his team exceeded every expectation. Their professionalism, transparency, and craftsmanship were top-notch.
Brian was great to work with for tile work in my kitchen. He came out quickly, got an estimate the same day, and the quality of craftsmanship was outstanding.
Had my bathroom shower remodeled. Brian had great suggestions and convinced me to make the shower space larger. I am extremely happy with what he has done.
Brian did a punch list of repairs at my house. If Brian does a project, he's going to do it right and he is very detail-oriented with everything he does.
A short call about the project: the room or the yard, the house, when you want it done, and what is not working now.
Brian comes out, measures, looks at what is behind the walls or under the old deck where he can, and separates the must-haves from the nice-to-haves.
You get the scope and the price in writing: materials, access, the order of the work, and the schedule.
You pick the materials. We pull the permit when the job needs one, book the trades, and give you a working schedule before demolition.
Structure first, then the finish work. Inside the house, we keep a path through it while we are there.
We walk the finished work with you and fix anything on the list before we call it done.

Yes. We look at the slab, the walls, and any past staining before framing starts. If there is active water, that gets fixed first, because finishes over a wet basement do not last.
Framing, electrical, and any new bathroom usually do in Bucks and Montgomery County townships. We plan the permit and the inspections into the schedule.
Engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and tile all work with the right underlayment. We talk through moisture and the underlayment before you choose.
Tell S & B Construction and Remodeling about the project and we will set up a free estimate. Call directly, or send the details through the form.
